Bio:

I am a Cape Town-based artist working primarily with photography. I am interested in the relationship between people and the natural world, particularly how our presence changes the places around us.

My work often starts with something I encounter in the real world, and in my early series I used a typological approach to study particular features of the landscape. Over time, I have expanded my practice to include digital constructions created through 3D modelling and compositing, allowing me to explore ideas that cannot be depicted with photography alone. My current work continues to examine the interaction between people and place, while taking a broader, more figurative approach.
