South Easter

Each year during the spring and summer seasons, Cape Town plays host to the gusty South Easter wind. Over the years this wind has forced many trees to permanently lean and bend in the same direction. I photographed these twelve trees in the suburbs found on the northern slopes of Table Mountain, an area affected particularly harshly by the wind due to the funnel effect created by the mountain.
